Here’s an update on burglary locally. Burglary Related Arrest in Homerton
We are pleased to report that following two burglary offences in the Homerton area, a suspect has now been arrested and charged.
Officers from Homerton Safer Neighbourhoods Team have investigated 2 burglaries on the ward and were able to identify the suspect. The suspect has been arrested and charged in relation to the offences. Officers continue to take a proactive approach to burglaries in order to prevent any further loss to the residents of Homerton.
This is a positive result and demonstrates our continued commitment to tackling burglary and protecting our community.
We would also like to remind residents of some simple but effective burglary prevention measures:
> Always lock all doors and windows, even if you are only leaving your property for a short time.
> Keep valuables, car keys, and handbags out of sight and away from doors and windows.
> Use outdoor lighting or motion sensor lights where possible.
> Consider using a timer for lights when you are away from home.
> Do not advertise holidays or absences on social media until you have returned.
Report any suspicious behaviour or individuals in your area to police immediately.
